The Government of the Canary Islands confirmed this Friday to Maspalomas24h that this week it has signed the authorization to the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council to appoint Arquímedes Martel Quintana to be Head of the municipal Treasury as a result of his professional career as a lawyer and his position in the local administration as a technician who is part of the special services subscale, Local Police class, Deputy Commissioner category.
Therefore, the treasurer of the city council will take on the position of head of the body entrusted with treasury functions. It will have the power to sign or, specifically, as the rule says, national qualification with reserved functions in the city council "without prejudice to the necessary organic adaptations", is supported by the procedure, and that the provision of the new positions reserved for nationally qualified persons can be carried out by the corporation through the appointment of these or other officials with national authorization, in accordance with the provisions of the eighth additional provision of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime.
Martel Quintana will be responsible for the formation of the Treasury plans, calendars and budgets, distributing over time the monetary availability of San Bartolomé de Tirajana for the satisfaction of its obligations, taking into account the legally established priorities, in accordance with the agreements adopted by the Corporation, which will include information related to the payment forecast to suppliers so as to guarantee compliance with the maximum period established by the regulations on late payment.
