The San Bartolomé de Tirajana Employment Plan project hires 44 unemployed

Its work, coordinated by the departments of Roads and Works and Parks and Gardens, will be allocated to a plan for the conservation and improvement of garden spaces and the maintenance, rehabilitation and conditioning of municipal facilities and infrastructures.

 

The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council presented this Tuesday its 2023 Employment Plan project, by which 44 unemployed people in the municipality with different professional categories will join the labor market carrying out different tasks aimed at cleaning and technical maintenance of the facilities. and local public spaces.

 

This project for the development of useful tasks and labor reintegration is part of the Social Employment Program for the period 2023-2024 and is subsidized by the Canary Islands Comprehensive Employment Plan (PIEC) of the Canary Employment Service with funding of 731.945,57 €.XNUMX.

 

The San Bartolomé de Tirajana Employment Plan began on September 31 with 15 workers and the remaining 29 workers will be added during this month of November. There are 7 gardening laborers, a manager and four street cleaning laborers, 3 electricians, a plumber, a carpenter, 6 bricklayers, 2 drivers, a welder, six painters, 10 ordinary laborers, a gang laborer and a psychologist. The length of their contracts ranges from 6 to 12 months depending on the tasks assigned to them.

 

The presentation of the Plan and the welcome to its workers was carried out by the accidental mayor, the second deputy mayor and councilor for Local Development, Elena Álamo Vega, and the councilors responsible for Roads and Works, Parks and Gardens, and Public Heritage Municipal, Araceli Armas, Eduardo Armas and Lucía Jiménez, respectively. Álamo explained that the work that the 44 hired will carry out will be coordinated by the two councilors from the Municipal Services area. 

 

The tasks of the gardening and cleaning workers will be aimed at undertaking a plan for the conservation, beautification and improvement of the municipality's garden spaces, with actions on the roads and municipal squares and parks of San Fernando de Maspalomas, El Tablero and the Park Southern Urban. In San Fernando they will intervene in the Plaza de la Iglesia, the Multifunctional Park, Bellavista, the Plaza del Camellero and in the Plaza de la Casa Condal, while in El Tablero they will perform in the Plaza de la Iglesia, the Plaza del Pilar and in the Pepe the Barber Square.

 

On the other hand, qualified workers in electricity, plumbing, carpentry, welding, masonry, painting and construction workers will be dedicated to carrying out the multiple maintenance, repair, rehabilitation and conditioning tasks required in the different municipal facilities and infrastructures.
