Agents of the National Police of San Bartolomé de Tirajana have arrested four men between the ages of 25 and 44, all of them with police records, as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of usurpation of public functions, robbery with violence and illegal detention.
On July 14 of this year, a notice was received through telephone number 091 of the National Police, in which a citizen reported that several people had entered a home in Playa del Inglés shouting for the Police and had attacked and immobilized to those who were inside the house.
Police officers immediately went to the referenced location where they were able to locate several victims and witnesses. They stated that moments before, several hooded individuals with guns and extensions forcibly entered the house shouting “POLICE” and immobilized them with zip ties. They began to search the home in search of drugs and money. They threatened the tenant of the house and he told them where the drugs were, and they also ripped off two gold chains and a watch.
One of the witnesses told the agents that he did not know the residents of the house or those who pinned him to the ground; he had only come to buy drugs, since the resident was known as “the Colombian.” and was dedicated to the sale of narcotic substances.
The National Police began an investigation to clarify the facts. Thanks to the statements of the victims and several witnesses, the agents managed to identify the alleged perpetrators, four men who already had police records.
After being located, they were immediately arrested for the crimes of usurpation of public functions, robbery with violence and illegal detention. Once they were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, all of them were ordered to go to prison.
