Mogán grants license for the construction of 59 social homes in Arguineguín

 

The Mogán City Council has granted a major construction license to Hijos de Francisco López Sánchez SA (LOPESAN) for the execution of 59 officially protected homes (VPO) in Arguineguín, specifically on a plot of Loma de Pino Seco. 

 

This VPO promotion is part of the first Municipal Housing Plan announced a few months ago by the mayor of Mogán, Onalia Bueno, and will be carried out on plot B-5 of Loma de Pino Seco, where another 200 homes are already concentrated. of this type. 

 

The new building will have four floors above ground in which the 59 homes will be distributed. Of these, 13 will be penthouse types with 1 and 2 bedrooms and the rest will have 2 and 3 bedrooms. Furthermore, as the councilor has announced, "they will have a garage and storage room, in addition to complying with energy efficiency regulations." Likewise, two homes will be adapted for people with reduced mobility and will have their corresponding accessible parking space. 

 

 

 

 

The mayor asks the interested population to “keep calm”, since when the time is right the City Council will announce the steps to follow, and will even set up information and advice offices when everything is more advanced. 

 

Bueno has announced that it will be next year when the works on this first development will begin and he hopes to lay the first stones of others that are also part of the Mogán Municipal Housing Program. Specifically, the one that will be located on Zaragoza Street in Motor Grande, Puerto Rico, with 60 homes. The drafting of the project has already been awarded to Nube Arquitectos SL for 98.436,27 euros and the aforementioned entity has a period of three months to carry it out.

 

On the other hand, he has reported that municipal technicians are drafting other social housing projects in Veneguera and Arguineguín. In the first neighborhood a total of 20 will be built on La Cardonera street, while in the seaside town 23 will be built on Damasco street, next to the Social Services building.

 

 

Agreement for the eradication of shanty towns

 

Bueno explained that "an agreement is being worked on and has been approved with the State and Government of the Canary Islands for the eradication of shanty towns in public areas", the objective being to facilitate access to housing for people who live in these settlements. In this regard, the mayor assures that she will be informed as new steps are taken.
