On the occasion of International Children's Day, which is celebrated every November 20, the Santa Lucía de Tirajana City Council has organized Children's Days for 14 years. A new edition will begin next Monday and will last until Friday. There will be training talks for families, a radio program, workshops and on Friday they will end with the Children's Fair, in which different associations and groups from the municipality and other areas that work with children will be able to publicize their activities.

The conference will begin on Monday, November 13, with a Radio Tagoror program that will be broadcast live from the Balos Sociocultural Center. The program will feature the Councilor for Citizen Participation, Arminda Santana, the Councilor for Education Mario Bordón, students from the Local Children's Council (CLIA), the pediatric nurse Miguel Gónzalez, the doctor Miguel González, and the president of the Federation of AMPAS Fanuesca, Leticia Zerpa.
On Tuesday the 14th and Thursday the 16th there will be two talks on positive coexistence and conflict resolution, on Tuesday it will be given by Raúl Saavedra, from the Inderdisciplinary Institute for Conflict Resolution, and on Thursday the speaker will be Yasmina Acebedo, both talks will be free at the Sociocultural Center Balos from 17 to 19 p.m.
On Wednesday the 15th, workshops will be held to instill sustainability values in children, there will be workshops on making natural soaps and planting seeds.
On Friday from 17 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Plaza de Balos the 'Childhood Fair' will be held, with craft and creative workshops, inflatables, a playroom and other surprises. At 18.15:7 p.m. there will be the institutional event with the mayor and the Local Council for Children and Adolescents (CLIA). At 5 and XNUMX there will be the performance of 'Entretíteres'.
Children's Fair shows actions, projects, actions of groups and NGOs from the municipality and other municipalities to work with children.
Fanuesca, the Nuestro Barrio Nuestra Gente Sociocultural Association, Asdownsur, Revoliá, the Te Acompañamos association, the Jitte Karate Club, the School of Traditional Canarian Games, the Balos rioters, the AMPA of Barranco will be present at the Children's Days. of Balos, the ADISUR association, the ludical educational leisure association, the ADIGRANC association, the Balos Sports Union, the Balos Neighborhood Association and the catechism group of the Balos parish.
The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Arminda Santana, trusts that "these days will serve to improve the training of families and to talk and reflect on the main issues that affect childhood such as education, health or socialization." The councilor thanked “all the associations and groups of our municipality and other places on the island that organize each year to be present at these days and at the fair.”
