The fair par excellence for animal lovers is here. This Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19, Animundo, the Pet Fair, celebrates in Infecar what is now its sixth edition with a program of activities in which awareness, animal welfare, dissemination and, also, predominate. the fun.

 

This Tuesday, November 14, the Minister of Economic Development, Industry, Commerce and Crafts of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Minerva Alonso, presented this appointment, accompanied by the Minister of Environment, Climate, Energy and Knowledge, Raúl García, and the general director of Infecar, Natalia Santana. 

 

“After five editions, at Animundo we face this sixth edition being very aware of the impact that this event has on society, being the event relevant for professionals in the sector in Gran Canaria but also, the nerve center for knowledge, analysis of trends, better practices and techniques for your pet,” said Alonso. 

 

The Pet Fair, promoted by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and organized by Infecar, aims to facilitate a meeting for professionals, families and animal lovers, who have all the products and services for the pet in the same space. Responsible care of pets.

 

In this sense, as is tradition, one of the highlights of the program will once again be the adoption gateways, sponsored by El Corte Inglés, and which are supported by the Albergue Insular de Gran Canaria. 

 

“Every year we go to this fair with the aim of raising awareness about adoption and responsible ownership,” said García, who also highlighted that “throughout all the editions of Animundo we have managed to find a family for 161 dogs. We hope and trust that the 30 who will parade on this occasion can suffer the same fate.” 

 

The general manager of Infecar, Natalia Santana, has been in charge of detailing the program prepared for Animundo, which already has tickets on sale in advance through the website www.animundo.es at the price of 1,50 euros.

Visitors will have a total of 27 exhibitors at their disposal, who will show their commercial offering and which encompass sectors such as food, insurance, education, fashion, veterinary clinics and centers or associations and protectors. 

 

“This year we also have a professional day that will be held the previous afternoon, on Friday, November 17, at the Infecar Conference Center from 17.00:19.00 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.,” Santana noted.

 

This event, which is free of charge but requires prior registration at www.animundo.es , aims to be a forum for discussion on current issues within the sector. This time, the topics to be addressed are animal protection; the new Animal Welfare Law; and grief counseling.

 

Informative program of the fair and parallel activities

 

Regarding the program of the Pet Fair, the participation of the actresses Clara Lago and Mónica Cruz, recognized defenders of the animal world, stands out, who will give an inspirational presentation in which they will tell about their connection with animals and They will then present an adoption gateway. Clara Lago will be in Animundo on Saturday, while Mónica Cruz will be on Sunday.

 

In addition to the educational program, which can be viewed in detail at www.animundo.es , the outdoor exhibits, and the adoption walkways, this year's Pet Fair brings back the dog parks and swimming pools, offering a total of four areas: two for small breeds and two for larger breeds. Furthermore, Animundo is launching a new children's area called 'Anipromesa,' which will host fun and educational activities throughout the weekend, with a special focus on raising awareness among young children.

 

Also, on this occasion, "and given the growing interest of citizens to know in detail the new Animal Welfare Law, in Animundo we will have a space run by the Official College of Veterinarians of Las Palmas at the information point to resolve doubts in relation to this matter”, concluded the director of Infecar.
