Commissioning of the municipal daycare center of Castillo del Romeral

 

The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council is carrying out repair works and different improvements at the Los Fraguel Rock municipal daycare center in Castillo del Romeral in order to reopen it as soon as possible and offer this service again to the families of said town and nearby towns. .

 

The works began at the end of last August and basically consist of repairing and correcting problems with enclosures and sealing in doors and windows, wall and floor covering, and plumbing renovation, among others. 

 

Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez Sánchez visited the facilities this Thursday to see personally how the recovery process of the educational center is being developed, and he did so in the company of the four councilors responsible for the council departments that are intervening in the works, specifically Culture , Education and Nursery Schools, Health, Roads and Works and Parks and Gardens.

 

“The City Council is undertaking these works to recondition this building and once again provide shelter and care in optimal conditions to children from 1 to 3 years old from Castillo del Romeral, Las Salinas, El Matorral, Kilómetro 40 and Juan Grande. It is necessary that as rulers of San Bartolomé de Tirajana we give a response to the population that has been demanding the reopening of this service since it was closed in 2020,” says the delegate councilor for Education and Children's Schools, Esther Delgado Sánchez.

 

Among those who demand this service are several families from Juan Grande who this school year saw their hopes of children's schooling cut short when Education in the CEIP of said town did not launch specific classrooms for the care of boys and girls. 2 to 3 years.

 

 

 

The Castillo del Romeral Kindergarten was closed in March 2020 by the previous municipal government for not being able to respond to the protocol demands against Covid of the Ministry of Education, which required the creation of isolation bubble classrooms for children. children and educators and even different schedules for the dining room and trips to the playground, among other requirements. However, the center did not reopen its doors despite the end of the state of alarm in June 2021. 

 

In preparation for the reopening of the nursery, the Department of Education and Infant Schools urges families intending to use this public service to send an email to escuelasinfantiles@maspalomas.com with the names and surnames of the child or children and both parents, as well as a contact telephone number and website address, in order to inform them about the necessary requirements.
