Two injured after falling from a motorcycle in Barranquillo Andrés

This afternoon, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting health assistance for two young people who had been injured after a motorcycle fall on the GC-505 highway. from Mogán to Tejeda, near Barranquillo Andrés, municipality of Mogán.

 

A 24-year-old young man (driver) who, at the initial moment of assistance, had a serious lower extremity fracture, was transferred by medical helicopter from the SUC to the Dr. Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria.

 

The second injured person, 23 years old (companion), who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented various minor bruises, was transferred in an ambulance from the SUC to the Dr. Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria.

 

The driver of the motorcycle had more serious injuries, which is why he was transported to the hospital in the SUC helicopter once he was stabilized, and the passenger was transported to the hospital in an ambulance, after receiving initial medical assistance.

 

The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources, the SUC personnel sent two ambulances and a medical helicopter to the scene of the incident for the assistance and evacuation of those affected.

 

The Civil Protection Volunteer Group of Mogán proceeds to cut off the road, enables the area for secured takeover of the SUC AH30 Medicalized Helicopter and collaborates with the intervening resources. The Mogán Civil Guard instructed the corresponding procedures.
