El Cruce de Arinaga celebrates the La Milagrosa festivities with music, dance and tradition

HOLIDAY PROGRAM

 

Like every November, in the run-up to the most anticipated time of the year – Christmas –, Cruce de Arinaga will experience its traditional La Milagrosa festivities starting this weekend. In addition to the religious activities in honor of the Virgin, various recreational and cultural events have been scheduled between November 18 and December 1, including concerts, festivals, dance shows and children's attractions, with the expected stellar performance. by Cantajuego. As usual, most of the events will take place in the Primero de Mayo square, although the Cruce de Culturas Theater and the new Fairgrounds will also be used.

 

The holiday program includes two activities that will take place this Saturday: the performance of 'Momo', at 18:00 p.m. at the Cruce de Culturas Theater, and the lighting of the Christmas lights in the Primero de Mayo square. The Agüimes Music Band will accompany the voices of Chago Melián, Patricia Muñoz, Alexia Rodríguez and Circe Santana in a recital of Christmas songs that will be presented by Kiko Barroso. On Sunday the 19th, also in the Primero de Mayo square, it will be the turn of dance lovers. Starting at 21:00 p.m., the so-called 'All Style Battle' will begin, a lively contest that will feature participants of all ages.

 

Music will once again be the protagonist of the festivities on Friday, November 24, starting at 21:00 p.m., with the performance of the young Gran Canarian singer Iván Quintana, who will present his show 'He'. The next day, Saturday the 25th, the day will be dedicated to the little ones in the house, with a ludo park in the square starting at 11:00 in the morning. In the afternoon, the Fairgrounds will host the long-awaited performance of Cantajuego, with 'The Tallarín Clown Show', preceded by Totó el Payaso and his 'Fun, fun, fun'. That same Saturday, at 22:30 p.m., the main festival of the festivities will be held by Armonía Show and Star Music.

 

Latin music and dance will be noticed again on Sunday the 26th, at 16:00 p.m., with salsa, bachata and kizomba workshops. The program will have its final touch on Friday, December 1 with the celebration of the Canarian Popular Song Festival and the subsequent taifa, folklore and tradition dance to close this year's program of the La Milagrosa festivities.
