The Coca-Cola Company and Pernod Ricard have launched the first steps of an alliance in the south of Gran Canaria to launch "Absolut Vodka & Sprite", a pre-mixed and ready-to-drink cocktail that combines the company's vodka. spirits and the soft drink signature's lemon-lime drink. This is a new step for the companies in the innovative ready-to-drink (RTD) category, in which Coca-Cola already presented, in June of last year, a combination of Coca-Cola and Jack Daniels whiskey, together to Brown-Forman Corporation.
As indicated by the companies in a statement, "Absolut Vodka & Sprite" will be available in the normal and zero sugar versions -Sprite and Sprite Zero Sugar-, and will hit shelves in early 2024 in Canary Islands tourist areas as well as on shelves in sale of spirits. “We are expanding into the ready-to-drink alcoholic beverage space, including products using select brands from our core portfolio,” said James Quincey, CEO of The Coca-Cola Company.
