The popular neighborhood of Agüimes celebrates the festivities in honor of the Immaculate Conception and Santa Marta until December 8 with an extensive program of activities for children, young people, adults and seniors.
The Arinaga Residential Estate will be celebrating over the next few days, with its traditional festivities in honor of the Immaculate Conception and Santa Marta. The program, organized by the Tahidí Cultural Association, this year includes festivals, workshops, dances and sports events, which will take place in the square, in the social venue and in the neighborhood's sports facilities.
The program kicks off this Wednesday, November 29, at 7:00 p.m. with a zanga tournament. On Saturday, December 2, also at 7:00 p.m., a lettering workshop will be held where participants, pencils in hand, will learn to draw letters, words, and phrases artistically. Afterward, dance enthusiasts can enjoy a Zumba workshop starting at 8:30 p.m.
Sport also has its place in the program with a softball tournament, which will take place on the baseball field of the Arinaga Residential Park on Sunday the 3rd, starting at 10:00. That same day, starting at 15:00 p.m., the foam festival will be held, enlivened by the music of Yeray Socorro. On Monday, December 4, starting at 18:00 p.m., a senior party will be held with a snack included, which will feature the participation of Luz de Luna, a group that will also perform the next day, on Tuesday the 5th, starting at 23:00 p.m.
The little ones in the house will be able to have fun on Wednesday, December 6, starting at 11:00, on the mats that will be installed for Children's Day. The celebration will continue at night, starting at 21:00 p.m., with a performance by the Dance Tahidí group. Music will continue to be the protagonist on Thursday, December 7, starting at 22:00 p.m., led by DJ Desiré and the festival by the group Leyenda Joven, starting at 23:00 p.m. The festivities will end on Friday, December 8, with a gala that will pay posthumous tribute to the recently deceased singer-songwriter Nany Jiménez, much loved in the municipality of Agüimes and throughout the Southeast of Gran Canaria.
