The Local Police Corps of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council celebrates this Wednesday, December 6, its traditional Open Day in the parking esplanade located between the Police Station headquarters and the Maspalomas Courts building. The day will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m., with the involvement of the different security and emergency bodies that carry out their work in this municipality: Local Police, Firefighters, Civil Guard, National Police, Canarian Police and Protection Civil. The Telde Local Police Drone Unit and the 112 air rescue service will also participate.
The event is organized by the Department of Security and Emergencies headed by councilor José Carlos Álamo Ojeda, with the purpose of making visible the work of the different security forces and familiarizing the population, especially the little ones, with their presence. clothing, devices and means of work, and even with the facilities of the Local Police, which can be visited. “The aim is to raise awareness and for the general population, but mainly the youngest, to see law enforcement officers as true allies, necessary for social coexistence,” says Álamo Ojeda. In that sense, the Open Day is set up with a playful and festive character, with inflatables, children's games and workshops, informative stands from the different security forces, and also with three gastronetas or street food food trucks.
The mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Marco Aurelio Pérez Sánchez, is expected to attend this event around 11:30 a.m., to enjoy the day and share impressions with the participating agents.
