The patron saint festivities of Santa Lucía de Tirajana and the Labradors will officially begin this Thursday, December 7, with the proclamation and folklore meeting. Until Sunday, December 17, the day of the celebration of the Pilgrimage of Los Labradores, the festival program includes traditional events such as the Day of the Lazy, Night of Light, taifa dance, as well as festivals, concerts, cattle fair, meeting with the Swedish Lucía, family gymkhana or solidarity walk.
The proclamation of the festivities, which this year will be given by the brothers Conchita and MargaritoRamírez Pérez, will be celebrated on the steps of the Town Hall after the celebration of the 19:XNUMX p.m. mass. After the proclamation, the Caldera de Tirajana Folkloric Meeting will be held with the performance of the Santa Lucía de Tirajana Cultural Association, the Umiaya Folkloric Group of Santa Bartolomé de Tirajana and the Argones de Agüimes Folklore Group.
Friday will be Children's Day with inflatables and a play park starting at 11 in the morning in the municipal park. At 17 p.m. there will be the children's Hi Fi scale and at 22 p.m. TirajanaJoven with performances by Elkayle, Besay Ojeda and Diego Rodríguez and La Buena Vibra. The big day of the festivities will be like every year on December 13, Saint Lucia's Day. At 7 in the morning there will be the flowery reveille with the Guiniguada band. At 9 the Livestock Exhibition Fair will begin. At 11 a.m. in the plenary hall of the Town Halls there will be the reception of the Swedish Lucía and the Canarian Lucía by the Municipal Corporation. Afterwards, the procession takes place through the streets of the town.
On Thursday, December 14, Lazy Day will be celebrated with activities throughout the day, popular food on Leopoldo Matos Street, and starting at 18:XNUMX p.m., the Haragán will leave accompanied by the neighbors, a papahuevos parade through different streets to finish. with the trial of Laragán.
On Friday the 15th, the presentation of the book 'Origin and Development of Santa Lucía de Tirajana' is scheduled at City Hall at 19 p.m. At 21pm there will be the Taifa dance.
