From Friday, December 8 to Sunday, December 10, the Plaza de Sardina del Sur will host a Christmas market organized by the Commerce and Tourism area of the Santa Lucía de Tirajana City Council. Merchants, artisans, artisans, pastry chefs from the municipality will display their products in around twenty stalls throughout the weekend. Children's activities, parades, performances and concerts are also scheduled.
The market will open on Friday, December 8 at 5 p.m. and will be open until 22 p.m. On Saturday the hours will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday it will open from 10 a.m. to 14 p.m. Gift items, crafts, pastries and a wide variety of products will be sold. In addition to the 20 stalls there will be an enchanting forest and special lighting.
On Friday night the group 600 will perform. On Saturday at noon the Gospel choir M Lou will offer a concert, in the afternoon the violinist Regina will perform and at night the group Bejeque. On Sunday there will be the performance of the magician Willy.
During the presentation of the market in the Plaza de San Nicolás de Bari de Sardina, the mayor of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Francisco García, stated that “this emblematic place in the historic center of Sardina is an ideal space to bring Christmas to the neighbors. of Sardina and the entire municipality.” The first mayor added that "this square will not only be a place to buy gifts, it will also be a meeting space for family, friends and loved ones to meet, to share moments on these special dates."
The Councilor for Commerce and Tourism, Verónica Suárez, thanked “the willingness of our merchants and artisans to participate in this Christmas market, which will also have an enchanting forest full of surprises that I am sure will not leave anyone indifferent.” Suárez highlighted that "different activities are scheduled such as parades, children's crafts, concerts, magic, we want that from this year both residents and visitors know that it is not necessary to travel outside the municipality to enjoy a special Christmas market."
