Next December 9, the Anfi Mogán Open Water Gran Canaria swimming trip returns, which will close the year 2023 on the warm beaches of Mogán and in turn will open the 2023/2024 international crossing season. The island of Gran Canaria is once again the epicenter of the best open water sport, with a new challenge that grows year after year and that in this edition will have 270 participants.
The Anfi Mogán Open Water Gran Canaria has three circuits, which adapt to each swimmer with its 2.000 meters from Arguineguín beach to Anfi del Mar beach, 5.300 meters from Tauro beach to Anfi del Mar beach, and the queen test, the 9.200 meters that will connect Mogán beach with Anfi del Mar beach. As a novelty in 2023, the Anfi Mogán Open Water Gran Canaria will be held in the afternoon, starting at 18 p.m. to welcome the Open Water Series season with a great white party at Club Maroa for the participants, and which will serve as a welcome to a season of crossings with 18 events in the national territory.
On behalf of the organizing company Top Time and promoter of the Open Water Series, Pablo González Cardona, celebrated that “we are starting the 2023/2024 circuit with a unique event”, with which “the season opens from Anfi del Mar to the open water calendar until the end of September, with a total of 18 crossings throughout the national territory.”
This journey is adapted to all levels with a 2.000 meter circuit, which has been defined as “a very affordable distance and in a straight line”, to which is added the challenge of 5.300 meters, “a more demanding point” for the riders. more prepared swimmers.
