During the night a series of attacks occurred that were quickly controlled and did not cause any major problems for the residents of the municipality.
The residents of Santa Lucía de Tirajana have had a scare before their patron saint's day. During the early hours of Tuesday, up to four attacks were recorded on a hillside near the Church of Santa Lucía, so members of the Arinaga Fire Station and members of Civil Protection who were in the area were immediately mobilized to cover the first celebrations of the patron saint festivities.
The attacks were immediately controlled and, during the night, the troops carried out the pertinent work to proceed with their complete extinction. Work that has lasted until early in the morning to completely secure the perimeter.
Both residents of the area and officers who collaborated in the extinction during the night have assured that the attempts began as a result of some of the pyrotechnic elements used during the first acts of the municipality's patron saint festivities, which will experience their big day next Sunday with the Pilgrimage of Los Labradores.
