In Fuerteventura they do not dare because there they have stopped moving beyond declarations of general interest. No windmills and even less photovoltaic panels. But in the south of Gran Canaria the renewable energy bubble does not stop because it is no longer just the argument of giving green energy to tourist areas and this is for the entire island.
The Galician company Econer with the Canarian name Mocán Renovables follows the trail of new financial investments with zero impact on the real economy of the south of Gran Canaria. By 2024, it hopes to launch work on a photovoltaic plant with 10.192 modules from the Chinese brand LongiSolar. This week the project was put on public display to present allegations. Longi solar panels have a 25-year warranty from the manufacturer.
The work includes a 2,2 kilometer underground evacuation line connected to the Aldea Blanca substation. The budget is 3,3 million euros. This Friday, Ecoener has incorporated into the Alternative Fixed Income Market (MARF) a green promissory note issuance program with a maximum outstanding balance of 50 million euros and maturity periods of up to 24 months, as reported to the National Market Commission. of Securities (CNMV).
Specifically, this program is called 'Green Commercial Paper Program Ecoener 2023' and will be valid until December 1, 2024. With this operation, Ecoener seeks to continue enabling the diversification of its financing channels and has explained that the target market for these promissory notes are only professional clients, eligible counterparties and qualified investors. Banca March has been designated as a registered advisor, collaborating entity and payment agent for this program, while Renta 4 Banco acts as a collaborating entity.
