'Brave Girls' at the San Fernando Equality Center

This Thursday, December 14, the Department of Equality of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council organizes the oral storytelling session 'Brave Girls'. It is intended for adults and will be at the San Fernando de Maspalomas Equality Center, on Montaña Clara street number 18, at 18:00 p.m.

 

This responsible leisure proposal promoted by the Department of Equality directed by the second deputy mayor, Elena Álamo Vega, will be carried out by two experienced oral narrators: the psychologist María Buenadicha and the activist Diego Flores Sáez.

 

'Brave Girls' is a compendium of stories and tales for adults, culled from the oral tradition of the Canary Islands and other regions of the world. They are narratives, like 'Blancaflor conquering her freedom' or 'Judith and her dagger', that have women as protagonists of the adventures.

 

 

 

 

 

 

María Buenadicha, with extensive training in theater and performing arts, has been telling stories for all ages since 2005. She has taken her cultural and creative projects to libraries and educational centers. Since 2017, she has coordinated the permanent oral storytelling workshop of the libraries of the municipality of Telde and teaches training workshops for different groups.
