The Las Palmas Sports Union has confirmed the goodbye of Jonathan Viera after weeks of rumors where all the scenarios regarding the continuity of the yellow captain were taken for granted.

 

It's official, the magician from La Feria leaves the Unión Deportiva Las Palmas. Late yesterday morning, Thursday, the club announced that the 34-year-old player said goodbye to his teammates and the coaching staff, ending his third stage as player and captain of the yellow team.

 

Throughout his career with UD Las Palmas, Viera has left an indelible mark, playing a total of 265 games at different stages, contributing with 75 goals and achieving personal milestones such as his debut with the senior Spanish team. 

 

His last meeting with the team took place on October 8 at the La Cerámica Stadium in Villarreal, with a 1-2 visitor victory and where he surprised his image alone in the center of the field while the team stood together on the wing next to the yellow technician, García Pimienta.
