Rescued on Playa del Cochino

This afternoon, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting that a bather was in trouble and could not get out of the water by his own means. , due to the poor state of the sea in Playa del Cochino, municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.

 

A 30-year-old man who, at the first moment of assistance, shows signs of moderate drowning is transferred in an ambulance from the SUC to the San Roque Maspalomas Clinic.

 

The Red Cross beach service managed to rescue the person and take him to the shore. The SUC personnel, upon arrival at the scene of the incident, assisted the affected person in the medical ambulance and, then, the basic life support ambulance was in charge of transporting him to the health center.

 

The Local Police collaborated with the health services and was responsible for the appropriate reports.
