The center, inaugurated this Friday with the presence of the mayor of Agüimes and the Minister of Education, provides specialized training in aircraft maintenance, with the aim of generating a nursery for future professionals in the sector.
The airline company Binter Canarias has chosen the Arinaga Industrial Zone to house the new facilities of Aeronautical Training Canarias (ATC), its specialized aeronautical training center that occupies a recently renovated building of 1.288 square meters on Las Adelfas street, in right in the heart of this business park. The new building has eleven training classrooms, two meeting rooms, a library, dining room, offices and a large workshop area on the ground floor where students can work in a real way with airplane engines, fuselages and cabins.
One of the main objectives of ATC is to promote the capacity and talent of young Canarians interested in the aeronautical sector, so that they can develop professionally in their homeland, without having to travel to other places outside the islands. The initiative, approved by the Spanish State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA), has been conceived as a nursery for future professionals, a center specialized in qualification for the ATR and Embraer models and a placement agency to improve employability in the sector.
The center teaches courses through which you can obtain the AESA aircraft maintenance license or the higher degree in aeromechanical maintenance of aircraft with turbine engines. Its catalog of activities also includes other specific aeronautical and airport training courses.
The new facilities were inaugurated this Friday by the president of Binter, Rodolfo Núñez, the Minister of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands, Poli Suárez, and the mayor of Agüimes, Óscar Hernández.
