The documentary, an example of improvement and effort, captures the emotional pilgrimage of a group of families from the Foundation along the Camino de Santiago
Next Thursday, December 21, starting at 20:00 p.m. in the ArteSiete Cinema halls of the C.C. Las Terrazas will see the light for the first time of “Pequeño Camino”, the documentary that captures the experience of a group of boys from the Canarian Foundation Pequeño Valiente and their families during their trip along the Camino de Santiago. Laughter, tears, anecdotes and personal testimonies in this emotional documentary will bring Canarian society closer to the reality of families affected by cancer, how they face the disease, how they overcome the ups and downs of the process and how they move forward. More than 100 kilometers of pilgrimage that become a metaphor for the effort, improvement and struggle that presides over their lives. With “Pequeño Camino”, the Foundation aims to bring the viewer closer to another vision of life and to value the human being's ability to overcome any obstacle.
The documentary was filmed during the different stages traveled on the Portuguese path, from the Pontevedra town of Tui, on the border with Portugal, to concluding at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Several months of physical preparation were left behind when they successfully achieved their goal, traveling the more than 100 kilometers that separated them from the Plaza del Obradoiro. In the film, the brave young people relate in first person their experience and struggle with the disease as they overcome the different stages of the pilgrimage, a unique experience through which society will learn, through the big screen, of what They are capable.
The premiere will take place next Thursday, December 21, in the ArteSiete movie theater at the C.C. Las Terrazas, at 20:00 p.m. Free admission until capacity is reached. Doors opening at 19:30 p.m.
