The First Deputy Mayor and Sports Councilor, Samuel Henríquez Quintana, assures that the investment will improve the quality of the facility and its energy efficiency.
The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has put out to tender the contract for “electrical installations and energy efficiency of the exterior lighting of the Maspalomas Sports City”, with a base bidding budget of 837.520,36 euros.
The objective of the action is the conditioning, improvement, modernization, reform and legalization of the electrical and lighting installations of soccer fields 1, 2 and 3 of the Maspalomas Sports Center in order to provide a better service and increase the safety of the users. users of sports facilities.
“25 years after its inauguration, we renewed the electrical installations of the sports city, improving the quality of the installation and its energy efficiency, in addition to legalizing the complex,” said the First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Sports, Samuel Henríquez Quintana.
The soccer fields included in the project are located on a plot with an area of approximately 220.543 m2, which includes a building located on the north side of Field 1 and the South Urban Park.
Taking into account this distribution, the contract has been divided into three lots, depending on the sports facilities where the performance will be carried out, with the consequent budget distribution:
Lot 1: Adaptation of the electrical installations and energy efficiency of the exterior lighting of the
Field 1 – €257.194,69.
Lot 2: Expansion of the BT facilities and energy efficiency of the exterior lighting of the
Field 2 – €339.115,14.
Lot 3: Legalization of LV installations and energy efficiency of the exterior lighting of the
Field 3 – €299.836,95.
In all of them, the replacement of mercury vapor halide luminaires with LED luminaires, the adaptation of the control panels and the protection of said luminaires are planned.
The deadline for submitting offers for this contract has been set for November 25 and, once awarded, there will be a period of three months to execute it.
This action is part of the actions that the Department of Sports is developing to improve municipal sports facilities, among which are the air conditioning works at the San Fernando Swimming Pool, which began at the beginning of November.
