100 athletes participated in the training session offered by the 2023 Spanish champion, selected for the Paris Olympic Games
Nearly 100 athletes of different ages and from different municipalities of Gran Canaria and Tenerife met last Friday at the El Tablero Municipal Pavilion to receive a master class from gymnast Alba Bautista.
The gymnast won a bronze medal at the 2022 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in the team event, and was classified with her hoop exercise among the eight best individuals in the last world championship held in Valencia, where she qualified for the Paris Olympic Games, which will take place from July 26 to August 11.
Currently, Alba Bautista trains on scholarship at the Madrid High Performance Center under the orders of Marta Linares. She started rhythmic gymnastics when she was only four years old. Since 2018 she has been part of the national team led by Alejandra Quereda. At El Tablero she taught the master class between 9:30 and 14:00 p.m. with a general warm-up session and specific sessions on body technique and apparatus technique.
