Since this Tuesday, the Agüimes Local Police has four new hybrid vehicles for patrolling, three of them with a separation screen for the transport of detained people if necessary. The vehicles have been incorporated through renting –lease without option to purchase– for a period of three years, extendable to four. Its annual cost will be 81.405,60 euros per year, which includes all additional services, such as maintenance, inspections or replacement insurance in the event of a breakdown or accident.
The four patrol cars, Ford brand, Kuga model, were delivered this Tuesday by the winning company, Transtel SA, in an event that was attended by the mayor of Agüimes, Óscar Hernández, the councilor for Citizen Security, Efraín González and the head of the Local Police, Luisa González. Its incorporation into the Local Police's mobile fleet will allow the renewal of part of the fleet that, due to the passage of time, had become obsolete or required constant and expensive maintenance.
The new police vehicles are equipped with everything necessary to carry out their activity as efficiently and safely as possible. Inside they have an emergency first aid kit, defibrillator, fire extinguisher and other preventive safety elements.
As for their signaling kit, in addition to the optical and acoustic signals approved according to current regulations, they come equipped with an LED panel integrated into the roof that will serve to project textual warnings to drivers in the event of any emergency or danger situation that may arise. on public roads. Its implementation will contribute to modernizing the resources available to the Local Police, with the consequent improvement of the service that this police force provides to the citizens of Agüimes.
