'Love with the wings of the soul' brings together the poetic works that the Madrid writer based in Las Palmas began in 1998 and concluded on November 7
The holistic and mindfulness blogger Verónica Corrales Martín (Cuidarsehoy.jimdofree.com) presented this Thursday her first literary adventure, the collection of poems 'Amar con las alas del alma', in the El alpendre room of the Casa de Saturninita Art Center, in San Fernando from Maspalomas.
The event was led by the delegate councilor for Education and Culture, Esther Delgado Sánchez, who thanked the writer for choosing San Bartolomé de Tirajana to publicize her poetic work and “contributing in this way to the project to promote reading and the writing that is being carried out throughout the municipality by the library department.”
Living in the capital of Gran Canaria since the beginning of July 2017, Verónica Corrales (Madrid, May 1972) declares herself enchanted by Gran Canaria, whose nature and landscape give her the physical and spiritual well-being necessary to give free rein to her “automatic writing.” .
'Love with the wings of the soul' (Amazon.es), responds to an expressive urgency of its author, who defines herself as a free, simple, creative and dreamy woman, a lover of painting, sewing, philosophy and psychology. “I am a mother who has stopped loving to learn to love with the prism that life has taught me,” she says.
In his presentation he highlighted that this collection of poems, born in 1998 after the loss of his father and as a feeling expressed in spontaneous writing, was enriched over the years by reconciling writing with family life and his work performance. First as a hair and beauty stylist and then, after an inevitable personal reset, as a yoga and meditation instructor.

Verónica Corrales recognizes that this collection of poems is an initiatory journey of personal edification that arises from love and that explores love, because it delves into her personal essence, her desires, memories and longings, but also into how she perceives and feels things, in the curiosity posed by the questions and thoughts of human beings and their deep feelings in the foggy hours of farewells... and above all, that they worship nature, which gives them the privilege of living gratefully. “Living in Gran Canaria, breathing Canarian pine and the sea is priceless,” she says.
The writer warns that 'Love with the wings of the soul', one hundred pages with 26 poems and a cover illustrated with a painting of her own authorship, is a river of rushing sensations that invites readers to ask themselves "do you love yourself?" How do you love yourself? How do you love nature?…” In this regard, Corrales Martín reasons that “jobs and obligations, acquired patterns, disconnect us from ourselves. That is why it is vital that we find some time for ourselves where we remove the mental noise and do an introspection that brings us back to calm,” she says.
That is why his book “invites us to love and love ourselves, to develop experiences of growth, learning and personal happiness, because love for people and life is energy and fuel for global happiness. We come to this world to be happy. The only true thing we have is the present, the here and now,” she says.
