The Department of Urban Planning of the City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana has issued an execution order to order the Yerbabuena entity to adopt corrective measures to minimize the rise of dust that is occurring due to the installation works of the photovoltaic park. in Juan Grande. The Department of Urban Planning has notified the company of the order, indicating that the cessation of the works will be "until the company forcefully and definitively applies the measures," highlights Ramírez. 

 

 

 

In this way, the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council toughens the measures that existing companies must apply given that, as the first deputy mayor, Alejandro Marichal, recalls, despite the fact that on July 20 the Urban Discipline service issued an execution order for companies to apply all the corrective and safety measures necessary to prevent the rise of dust, “these are insufficient.” Marichal highlights that although the objective of the Urban Planning Department is to “reach out for the implementation of renewable energies in the municipality, it is also a priority to defend the rights and well-being of the neighbors.”

 

It should be remembered that last August, the work was also ordered to stop, allowing only fencing work in the area. Urban planning demanded that the companies that starting in September, the date on which work could be resumed, they had to "soak the plots on which they were working more frequently to do so on wet ground and they had to create gravel roads so that the trucks and heavy machinery circulated through them.” Although the companies have shown their complete willingness to adopt these solutions, “discomfort has once again been generated among the neighbors, which is why the area is proceeding to tighten the corrective measures,” concludes Marichal.
