Playa del Inglés became the reference center for International Beach Volleyball

 

With the beginning of the year, and taking advantage of the holiday period, European players travel to Playa del Inglés to enjoy the third edition of the "Winter Beach Volleyball Camp 2024".

 

 

 

There is no better purpose than to start the year practicing physical activity outdoors in paradise, Maspalomas. The campus coordinators are aware of this, Samuel Kaser (SRS) and Pablo Bautista (Sand Lizards Beach Volleyball) that together with the collaboration of the SBT City Council bring European sports tourism to the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.

 

During this winter period, visiting European athletes are enjoying completely clear skies and a temperature of 23ºC.

 

Exciting, intense and entertaining beach volleyball training sessions as well as different competitions and talks, developed in morning and afternoon sessions distributed through small work groups according to the technical-tactical level of each of the participating players.

 

 

 

European sports tourism that travels to Maspalomas Costa Canaria to escape the intense cold, since in their countries of origin December, January and February are the coldest months and with temperatures ranging from -2ºC to 3ºC.

 

And if in addition to sun of Playa del Inglés we add, sports facilities of quality, professionalism and dedication by SRS and the sports club Sand Lizards Beach VolleyballWe have all the ingredients for the beach volleyball activity to be a total success. In fact, we find participants who have repeated in the three editions.

 

From the organization of the event we want thank the Departments of Sports, Beaches and Tourism of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council their collaboration so that initiatives of these characteristics continue to be developed in the municipality.

 

 

 

Even the sand of Playa del Inglés came closer Yilenia Vega, Councilor for Tourism of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, to be interested in the development of the Campus, share with the event coordinators and also thank the participants for choosing Maspalomas (Gran Canaria) as a tourist-sports destination.

 

With the project definitively consolidated, the organizers of the "Winter Beach Volleyball Camp Maspalomas" SRS and Sand Lizards Beach Volleyball have already set their sights on their next edition.
