Excellent result of the Maspalomas Chess Sports Club on the second day of the League

 

The first and second category teams of the Maspalomas Chess Club faced with different results the second day of the Gran Canaria island league played last weekend in the covered pavilion of the Monseñor Socorro Lantigua de Teror school and in the facilities that the club The venue is located on the ground floor of the Maspalomas Stadium.

The members of the first team lost by the minimum 3,5 to 2,5, against the Aguas de Teror Chess Club 8x8. In this category, the performances of the Maspalomas chess players Benjamín Andrés Arlet and David Vega Bautista, second and fifth boards of the team, stood out in their respective games, who defeated the Terorenses Mario Daniel Jiménez Henriquez and Domingo Alemán Pérez, respectively. 

 

 

David Vega authoritatively won in 20 moves against the Teror player, who could not castle in time and ended up with his king in the center of the board, while the game that Benjamín Arlet played in 26 moves against Mario Daniel was the most fought and interesting of the whole day.

 

 

Also quite interesting were the game between the first boards of Maspalomas and Teror, Agustín Marrero López and Maximino Santiago Acosta Quintana, respectively, which ended in a draw after 28 moves, and the dispute between the sixth and last boards of both teams, José Antonio Martín Herrera del Teror and Carlo Finocchi, recently incorporated into the world of chess and the Maspalomas team, who was defeated by the local player.
