The event occurred at kilometer 27 in the Las Palmas direction, in the Balos area, in Santa Lucía de Tirajana
A multiple accident with several vehicles involved on the GC-1 towards Las Palmas left various injuries and a vehicle overturned on the road. The accident occurred after ten at night, when a multiple collision and the overturning of a car that had been left on the right shoulder of the road were reported.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene upon receiving the alert. Members of the Arinaga fire station had to rescue a man who was trapped in one of the vehicles. The Canary Islands Emergency Service attended to those affected and proceeded to transfer them to the health centers to which the injured were referred.
The Civil Guard was responsible for regulating traffic and securing the accident area, which was subsequently cleared and cleaned by the Cabildo's Road Maintenance Service. Due to the time at which the accident occurred, there were no major delays despite the fact that emergency personnel had to close the right lane during their work.
