The event occurred in the Hoya la Negra area and the victim's son has already been arrested by the Civil Guard
Civil Guard authorities are investigating a possible homicide in Santa Lucía de Tirajana after discovering the lifeless body of a 55-year-old man in the Hoya La Negra area around 12:15 this Wednesday.
Agents from the Citizen Security Patrol of the Neighborhood Civil Guard appeared at the scene along with a medical ambulance that could only confirm the death, which appears to have occurred violently.
The first investigations indicate the possible involvement of the victim's son, a 23-year-old young man.
The alleged patricide was triggered after an argument between father and son, during which the victim was attacked by the young man with a knife, causing a cut to his neck. The son has already been arrested and transferred to the Civil Guard offices in Vecindario.
The investigation is ongoing, with Judicial Police agents joining the work at the scene, which has been cordoned off to facilitate the investigations.
According to sources from the force, no line of investigation has been ruled out and information is continuing to be collected to clarify the details of this event.
