The Local Government Board of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has approved granting the Major Works License for the construction of a commercial warehouse promoted by Aldi Supermarkets on Plot 33 of Sonneland, next to the Los Olivos urbanization. In the description of the project, the promoter indicates that the construction of a warehouse that will have a single floor will be carried out on a plot of 5.590 square meters. This warehouse will have a surface area of 2.047 m² and the rest of the plot will be used as a parking lot, with 97 spaces, and an open-plan room of 1.196 m². The file for the approval and granting of this license began in 2021 with which the Minor Modification of the PGOU'96 was requested to change the said use of the plot that was listed as consolidated urban land. After the planning modification approved in full last October, the plot changed its Use, with 3.600 m² being allocated to tourism and 5.590 m² to commercial use.
In this way, commercial activity was introduced on the plot as a complement to tourist activity, which will have a buildable area of a maximum of 2 heights, and will be used for activities linked to commercial use, supply, waste, loading and unloading, etc., which They will be developed entirely within the commercial plot. In this Planning modification, it was defined that the surface of 3.610 m² be used for tourism, allowing the construction of apartments, villas and holiday homes, with a maximum height of 5 floors.
