The campaign to support small and medium-sized businesses in the open commercial areas of San Bartolomé de Tirajana promoted by Acomisaba, the City Council and the Cabildo focuses on shopping for the Valentine's Day holiday and includes a macro-concert this Friday in the Plaza de El Board

This Friday, February 9, the Plaza de la Iglesia de El Tablero hosts a macro-concert by Los Salvapantallas, Aseres and Karma, organized by the Association of Retail Merchants of San Bartolomé de Tirajana (Acomisaba) with the collaboration of the Department of Commerce of the City Council and financing from the Department of Economic Development of the Gran Canaria Cabildo.

This musical event that will begin at 20:00 p.m. is part of the business and institutional initiative that is being developed during this month of February with the slogan 'On Valentine's Day, buy with your heart', aimed at encouraging neighbors and residents of the municipality to support small and medium-sized local businesses on the occasion of the purchases made for the festivities of February 14.

That is why the pro-commercial activity that will be held this Friday in El Tablero will start at five in the afternoon. It includes children's programming, a market area, fast food snack trucks and even a photocall to romantically immortalize friendships and loves.

“This Acomisaba initiative is focused on promoting the open commercial areas of the municipality and more specifically at supporting small and medium-sized, autonomous and traditional businesses that on key dates must face the overwhelming competition of large stores and the claims of international brands that “They attract shopping to shopping centers,” says the eighth deputy mayor and councilor for Commerce, Araceli Armas Cruz.

In that sense, Acomisaba warns in a statement that "in recent years much of the traditional commercial fabric has disappeared, and for this reason this campaign appeals to solidarity and awareness so that a vital sector in the local economy does not disappear." .

Acomisaba's campaign in defense of SMEs in San Bartolomé de Tirajana includes a competition for shop windows also dedicated to the Valentine's theme, which will reward the best claim with an advertising campaign valued at more than three thousand euros. The contest seeks to promote participating commercial establishments through social networks and, also, encourage their competitiveness.
