The replacement of the silo began on Tuesday and ended this Thursday
The concessionaire company for the water supply and purification service of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, Canaragua Concesiones SAU, has completed the renovation of the dehydrated sludge storage hopper of the El Tablero Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
The work necessary to replace the hopper began this Tuesday and concluded this Thursday. The new infrastructure has been manufactured by a specialized company on the Island expressly for the current management capacity of this treatment plant.
The new silo, which is already operating at full capacity, has a storage capacity of 30 tons of dehydrated sludge, which is removed and transported daily by closed trucks to the biomethanization plant facilities of the Salto del Negro Environmental Complex.
The renovation of the hopper has been carried out as a maintenance action necessary for the proper functioning of the treatment plant, given that the replaced silo, 20 years old, had already reached the end of its useful life.
