Public workers and political representatives of the City Council join in a heartfelt minute of silence in memory of the two deceased agents
This Monday, the City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana observed a minute of silence in memory of the two civil guards who were murdered by drug smugglers last Friday night in the bay of Barbate (Cádiz).
The event, also converted into a gesture of repudiation towards the murderers, was joined by numerous public workers from the Consistory and political representatives of the government and the opposition, who cheered and applauded the Civil Guard at the end of the minute of silence.
The second deputy mayor, Elena Álamo Vega, described the murder of David Pérez Carracedo, 43 years old and with two children, and Miguel Ángel González, 39 years old and father of a girl, as “an unforgivable act that deserves condemnation.” of the entire society, and for which the maximum responsibilities could be demanded from the Government, because they were two people who were working and fulfilling their duty of public service, in a titanic task of fighting crime, with hardly any means to be able to carry it out. carried out properly.”
Elena Álamo also valued and thanked the massive participation of the public workers of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council in the minute of silence called throughout Spain by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).
