The students interviewed the Councilor for Education for their radio podcast program. “How is the City Council working to improve things?” they asked.
The students of the Aula Enclave of the Faro de Maspalomas and El Tablero-Aguañac institutes visited the Municipal Offices of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council in Maspalomas this Thursday to learn about the administrative services and their dependencies.
The group of fifteen students between the ages of 12 and 21 and their tutors were received by the councilor responsible for the area of Education and Culture, the second deputy mayor Elena Álamo Vega, and by the councilor delegate, Esther Delgado Sánchez, who welcomed him “to everyone's home.”
During the itinerary through the administrative offices, in which they interacted with the municipal staff, being interested in their specific activities and even their names, the students were guided by the technical person in charge of the Municipal Archive, the service through which the visit began and where they were explained its importance and functions. Then they visited the municipal art warehouse and the rest of the departments on the first and second floors of the building.
Already in the assembly hall, the Aguañac students interviewed the delegate councilor for Education, Esther Delgado, for the podcast program that they defend on the Institute's radio. “How does the City Council work to improve things?” She was asked. They also asked about her functions as a councilor, what she did previously and what work she preferred to do. She also told him about two possible improvements for her educational center: “moving the Enclave Classroom facilities to the main building of the Institute and expanding the teachers' parking lot. “Is it possible?” they said.
