The SPAR Gran Canaria supermarket chain has collaborated, for the third consecutive year, with the Las Palmas Down Syndrome Association through the sale of the solidarity calendar in its supermarkets. The proceeds obtained from the sale of the 2.058 solidarity calendars amount to 10.290 euros, which will be allocated entirely to the development of the activities and projects that the Association dedicates to the more than 120 families it assists in the province of Las Palmas.
The representatives of the supermarket chain, among whom were its president, Ángel Medina, its vice president, José López, and its general director, Dunia Pérez, delivered the check for the amount collected to the vice president and the general director of the Association, Francisco Díaz-Casanova and Ángel Sosa, accompanied by one of the protagonists of the month of November of the 2024 calendar, at SPAR Las Majoreras, the supermarket that managed to sell the most calendars during this campaign, with more than 100 units sold, and that also has made an additional donation of 300 euros to the association.
Firmly aligned with its corporate social responsibility policy, SPAR Gran Canaria has once again collaborated with this solidarity initiative, producing a similar figure compared to the previous campaign, thus once again exceeding the sales target of more than 2.000 calendars. The Canarian supermarket chain will soon renew its commitment to the projects and initiatives of the Las Palmas Down Syndrome Association, signing for the sixth consecutive year the collaboration agreement between both entities.
