Two injured after a fight in Plaza de Maspalomas

At around 4:18 a.m. - A man, whose age is unknown, who at the initial moment of assistance had minor injuries to his face, was transported in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the Insular University Hospital, National Police. alerted the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center

(CECOES) 1-1-2 from the Government of the Canary Islands requesting an ambulance for several people injured with knives and bottles as a result of a fight in the area mentioned above.

 

1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.

 

According to what was reported in the call, one of the injured had a hemorrhage at the level of the jugular so the nurse coordinator on duty in the emergency room gave the necessary instructions to the national police to contain the bleeding, while the ambulance arrived.

 

Upon the arrival of health resources, the SUC personnel verified that the injured person who was bleeding at the level of the neck did not have the jugular affected, so they proceeded with the assistance and transfer to the hospital.

 

The other minor victim was also evacuated to a hospital for assistance.

 

Police services took charge of the corresponding procedures.
