The Councilor for Urban Planning, Davinia Ramírez: “This license will allow the growth of 20 tourist homes in addition to the existing 87”
Alejandro Marichal: “We are updating the Urban Planning area by reducing the times in granting licenses”
The Local Governing Board approved the major works permit proposal submitted by the Urban Planning Department of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council for the construction of 20 tourist apartments on Plot 6 in El Pajar. These apartments will be designated for holiday rentals. The new tourist accommodations will be semi-detached and, as explained by the Councilor for Urban Planning, Davinia Ramírez, “will allow for tourism growth in the area with 20 tourist apartments in addition to the 87 already existing .”
Ramírez specifies that it is a complex of 20 tourist homes that will represent the second phase of expansion development of the Cordial Santa Águeda Resort, which currently has 87 units. Each tourist home will have its corresponding plot with an exterior surface and parking spaces and gardens will be located in the common areas. The new constructions will be of two types, 10 with three bedrooms, and another 10 with one bedroom, with a maximum height of two floors. They will be built on a total area of 6.550 m² and have a material execution budget of almost 2.400.000 euros, and will allow the collection of 76.000 euros as ICIO.
With this license, indicates the first deputy mayor of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, Alejandro Marichal, “sustainable tourism growth is once again promoted in El Pajar since we are talking about low-density and high-rise buildings. With this license we comply with the Tourist Use provided for by the PIO recently approved by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria for this area and it is a determined commitment by the promoter for an accommodation modality that has been recognized, by the tour operator Apollo and OTA Booking, for its tourist excellence.
Marichal concludes by highlighting “the good work of the team led by co-celebra Davinia Ramírez “since it is updating the Urban Planning area by reducing the times in granting licenses” as has happened with this one, presented by the promoter in November 2023 and which has just been granted in just four months.
