After eleven months of preparation, 45 young people and adults from the municipality receive the certificate of professionalism in water lifesaving and gardening
The Department of Local Development of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council closed this Tuesday the three training plans in alternation with employment (Pfaes) that since April 6, 2023 have been training 15 young people in lifeguard tasks and another 30 in gardening.
The ceremony for the presentation of the professionalism certificates took place at the Carmelo Pérez Rodríguez Cultural Center, in El Tablero, and was carried out by the accidental mayor and councilor responsible for the Local Development area, Elena Álamo Vega, accompanied by other government councilors municipal.
The session began with visual projections as a summary of the development, objectives and actions of each of the three Pfaes: the one on rescue and first aid in aquatic facilities for collective use 'SOS Maspalomas', and the two on installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas, 'Environmental sustainability' and 'Azahar'.
These three training plans of eleven months each have been carried out with the sponsorship of the Canarian Employment Service (SCE), an institution to which Elena Álamo Vega congratulated and thanked for its “increasing commitment to developing training projects in this municipality that are contributing to the labor insertion of its participants,” he said. The accidental mayor also had words of gratitude for the professionals of the Department of Local Development and for the administrative staff, teaching staff and students of the three workshops, whom she congratulated "for the trajectory of work they have carried out as a team." .
Elena Álamo expressly addressed the students to congratulate them “for the perseverance, perseverance and involvement with which they have faced their training until the end. You should feel proud and satisfied with yourselves, because at the City Council we are, since it is not easy to stay on the path of learning and you have arrived here with an exquisite training that empowers you to practice professionally. The certificate they have obtained will allow them to apply for job employability,” she said.
The directors of the three Pfaes also addressed their students and the members of their respective administrative and teaching teams. They valued the work carried out to achieve the goals of the projects, and highlighted the “family atmosphere” in which they were developed.
