Mari Carmen Rodríguez is the Grand Lady of the Maspalomas International Carnival 2024

The stage of the Yumbo Shopping Center once again hosted what was its first gala of this edition, that of the Grand Lady. An event in which six candidates competed for the crown, which fell into the hands of Margarita Guedes Alemán, accompanied by Margarita Araña Talavera, who turned out to be named first and second Maid of Honor respectively.

 

 

To celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, the gala began by remembering five famous personalities in the history of the Maspalomas International Carnival. to whom an honorary award has been given at the hands of the accidental mayor Alejandro Marichal.

A gala that was hosted by the successful television couple formed by Wendy Fuentes and Pedro Machín and that featured a carnival overture to the rhythm of the historic Baracoa troupe, in which a nod was also given as a tribute to Nieves Bordón, Gran Lady from last year and recently deceased.

 

 

 

There was also room for the best humor brought to us by the acclaimed comedian Jaime Marrero, and of course the music could not be missing with the voices of the legendary Andalusian duo Los del Río, who got everyone present dancing to their world hit, La Macarena.

 

 

Little by little, the Maspalomas International Carnival will complete its royal court, which will add its Children's Queen this Friday the 8th in the same location.
