Naturgy has requested from the General Directorate of Energy of the Government of the Canary Islands a declaration of public utility for the Agueda I Solar Photovoltaic installation of 6,45 MW in San Bartolomé de Tirajana for 5,8 million euros with Chinese technology from Longi Solar and Huawei converters. There is another project in process by Naturgy for the 6,45 MW Agueda IV solar photovoltaic plant in San Bartolomé de Tirajana for 5,6 million euros. It all adds up to 24.000 modules in an area of high energy demand due to the Ceisa cement factory (Masaveu Corporación) and service sector businesses.
Of all that money, in the south of Gran Canaria there will be a minimum amount of building license and some sandwiches for security guards of the Las Palmas lifting cranes that provide the service because everything is contracted with the back of the municipality, which has its hands tied to demand another series of local compensations. The land that needs to be expropriated belongs to Heirs of Ana Betancor Curbelo and Diego Betancor Hernández as well as the City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
These are 12.702 bifacial photovoltaic modules, from Longi Solar LR5 with a peak power of 7,17 MWp that will be installed with 30 Huawei SUN2000 inverters. The interconnection between the sectioning center and the Arguineguín 20 kV Substation is in the public exhibition phase in case there are any victims. The installation requires administrative authorization and declaration, specifically, of public utility, in accordance with the provisions of Decree 141/2009 that regulate the administrative procedures related to the execution and commissioning of electrical installations in the Canary Islands, being the General Directorate of Energy the competent body.
