The president of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, stated this weekend at the ceremony of Honors and Distinctions to the El Salvador Ecumenical Temple of Playa del Inglés and to the tourist promoter Domingo Espino, that these awardees represent "the living spirit of the island of resistance that it always was, to make its distinct voice heard and face these turbulent times and profound transformations with guarantees of success. This was one of the messages of Morales' speech at the event held at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium to recognize the work of twenty professionals, entities and associations from the social, cultural, economic and sports world, honored for their contribution to the improvement of the island and its citizens. Espino was surrounded by his friends and loved ones and was especially congratulated by the business community of Las Palmas.

Domingo Espino Hernández created Lojman Resorts 25 years ago, which began its activity with the operation of non-hotel accommodations. Today it maintains the exploitation
under the Hoteles Vistaflor brand, the Vistaflor Bungalows in Maspalomas, Hotel Vistaflor Cura Marina and Apartamentos Puerto Plata, both in Mogán. Lojman Resorts has specialized in providing accommodation, food, transfer and logistics services for large groups, but it also organizes different attractive events for people who visit us, among which the following stand out: Maspalomas Cup Tournament; Canary Islands Basketball Championship; Timbachata International Latin Dance Festival; Rotary Club Maspalomas International Camp; or the Vistaflor Golf Tournament, among many others. For his work and dedication to the quality of the tourism sector, which also results in activities that promote greater diversification of our tourism, he has been worthy of this recognition.

El Salvador Ecumenical Temple Completed in 1971, it was built in response to the flow of tourists during the tourism boom of the 2002s. Its construction was approved by the then bishop of the Canariensis Diocese, Monsignor Infante Florido. The design and execution was carried out by the architect Manuel de la Peña and the surveyor Ulises Medina. The Ecumenical Temple of Playa del Inglés, declared 'Excellent Tourism' in its XNUMX edition, celebrates the international Catholic ceremony that is held, for the most part, in Spanish, but with some readings and prayers in other languages. For bringing together in its religious, social and cultural work the tourists who visit Gran Canaria, and for being a place where practically all the official and free Churches of Europe coexist in harmony and tolerance.
