The Werdum Maspalomas Fight Club won a total of 14 medals in the last Spanish Open of Cambat Jiu-Jitsu 2024 held at the Víctor Cabedo Sports Hall in the Castellón municipality of Onda, where they won second place in the general team classification in the adult category.
The outstanding performance of the Maspalomas athletes allowed them to win 11 gold medals, one silver and two bronze medals. All the Werdum wrestlers managed to get on the podium, and some of them even in two different categories.

During the development of the competition, the performances offered in the Full Contac and Ground Fight fights by the double gold medalists Benjamín Segura Ramírez stood out, in the master 1 beginners category of less than 100 kilos; Iván Rodríguez Sanagustín, in the youngest category of less than 35 kilos; Gabriel Roggendorf Campos, in the youth category of less than 65 kilos; Iker Segura Rodríguez, in the cadet category of less than 60 kilos, and Daniel Cabrera Portela, in the youth category of less than 55 kilos.

Also notable and admirable was the intervention that the fighters Evan Rivero Valero had in this championship, gold in Full Contact and bronze in Ground Fight in the youth category of less than 60 kilos, and José Fernández Trujillo, who in the advanced master category of less weighing 92 kilos, he won the gold medal in Full Contact and the bronze medal in Ground Fight.
