The CIFP Villa de Agüimes encourages Arinaga companies to participate in the new dual training

 

The Integrated Vocational Training Center (CIFP) Villa de Agüimes held an information day on Dual Vocational Training for companies this Monday. The meeting, promoted in collaboration with Aenaga, the Business Association of the Arinaga Industrial Zone, served to publicize some aspects related to the new law, which starting next September will extend mandatory internships to the first two years from FP.

 

The new regulations, which were created with the objective that students adapt from the beginning to a real work context, represent an opportunity for companies to identify and attract emerging talent among future professionals. It will also make it possible to promote the qualifications with the greatest demand for professionals in the business world and will give the option for people who have been working for years without accreditation in a certain sector to officially certify their knowledge.

 

 

 

The management of the CIFP Villa de Agüimes explained to the participating companies that the law will entail a readjustment of their training offer. The future scenario of dual training must open even more to the most thriving economic areas of the Canary Islands, such as tourism, the audiovisual sector or industries and services linked to ports and airports.

The informative presentations on the new law were given by the person in charge of Educational Planning of the Vice-Ministry of Vocational Training and Professional Qualifications of the Government of the Canary Islands, María Pérez, and by the head of the Vocational Training service, María del Rosario Martínez. In addition to a large group of businessmen, the meeting was also attended by the Councilor for Education of the Agüimes City Council, Omaira Quintana, and the president of Aenaga, Cornelio Suárez.
