Fataga will offer 7 different tapas this Saturday at the I Rural Women's Fair

 

El Labrador and El Albaricoque, the two bars-restaurants that have offered to collaborate with the first edition of the Rural Women's Fair promoted by the Department of Culture of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council this Saturday in the town of Fataga, will offer the event attendees a menu of seven different tapas at the modest price of 3 euros with a drink.

 

Specifically, El Labrador will offer its customers the chance to choose between four special tapas: traditional goat meat in sauce, crispy shrimp with melted cheese, tasty omelette with potatoes and local eggs, and octopus dumplings. 

 

 

 

 

For its part, El Albaricoque will offer visitors three different tapas also made with local products and with a vegan touch: country toast with zucchini omelette; country toast with chickpeas, spinach and masala; and country toast with lettuce, serrano ham and mayonnaise.

 

In the kitchens of both restaurants they are working with a forecast of between 100 and 150 units of each of the tapas that they will offer to their customers with soft drinks, wine or beer. They will begin to provide service practically from the opening of the Fair, whose development has been planned from 10.00:15.00 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.

 

Selene, the young woman who runs El Labrador, appreciates the organization of this event as “a good initiative to boost the social, cultural and economic life of the town of Fataga, not only for tourists but especially among the Canarians themselves.” For their part, the couple formed by Matías and Pamela, promoters of the artisan pastry and pastry company Montaña de Sabores, have decided to take on the reopening of El Albaricoque, which had been closed for almost seven months, as a diverse gastronomic proposal at the service of the population of Fataga and its visitors.

 

The I Rural Women's Fair, in which tribute will be paid to five entrepreneurial women from the town of Fataga, will offer visitors around twenty stands with agricultural and artisanal products from the municipality, such as coffee, cheeses, wine, guarapo, chocolates, liqueurs , jams, bread, fruit, pastries and honey, and also jewelry, costume jewelry, bags and rugs, accessories and paintings made of recycled material, clothing, wooden toys, paintings on fabrics; palm and macramé jewelry, hats and bags; different resin crafts and Canarian themed books and children's stories among others.

 

The event, which was born with a vision of continuity, will also offer a Canarian garrote workshop for those who wish to participate and for the little ones a puppet show with the work of 'The Three Little Pigs' (11:00 am). The development of the Fair will be enlivened with musical performances from the Folklore and Dance Classroom of the Municipal Music School, the La Cucaña Folklore Group and the Tirajan singer-songwriter Pedro Afonso. 

 

To enable access to the Fataga Fair, Global will add on Saturday an extra up and down service to line 18 that usually leaves from the Maspalomas Lighthouse. In that sense, the transport company will facilitate the upload at the usual time of 9:30, and will add another trip at 10:30, while for the return it establishes a new trip at 15:30 p.m., half an hour. after the event ends.
