The haze goes away and the rains arrive with a new DANA

 

The Canary Islands are preparing for a weekend (and possibly the beginning of Holy Week) spent in water. After the increase in temperatures last weekend and the appearance of haze at the beginning of this week, a DANA is expected to reach the archipelago and leave rainfall on all the islands; among them Gran Canaria, which is expected to be the island in the eastern province most affected.

 

The AEMET indicates that rainfall will begin between Thursday and Friday, with the possibility of up to 100 liters per square meter being recorded in some areas of the archipelago. Despite this, a significant drop in temperatures is not expected. 

 

 

 

 

These rains arrive the same week in which the Canarian Executive has activated the INFOCA plan due to the risk of forest fires in the archipelago due to the heat and dry weather that has been recorded since the beginning of the year.
