The biggest Hollywood giant is looking for employees in Gran Canaria

 

Openly and without recruitment agencies, Warner Bros. is advertising an in-person position in Gran Canaria starting this weekend on LinkedIn. The studio, responsible for Barbie (the fourteenth highest-grossing film of all time with nearly $1.5 billion in box office revenue), is bucking the trend of digital nomads and offering an in-person position in Gran Canaria.

 

 

The position offered to join the multinational is that of Senior Financial Analyst for the Planning and Resources Department, as announced in the job posting published this Sunday. According to the same posting, some of the responsibilities of the successful candidate will include executing the annual and quarterly workforce planning process, supporting month-end closing activities, developing ad hoc reports , and providing financial information and insights to business partners across all areas of Warner Bros. studios.

 

The offer, published in English, does not include the working conditions of the position or the headquarters where it will be performed, since at the moment there is no known branch of the Warner studios in the Canary Islands. The same position is offered up to four times on the platform and there are a total of 39 applications.

 

Warner Bros is the quintessential giant of the American film industry, with more than $51.720,5 million raised worldwide as of September 2023. With these stratospheric figures, everything seems to indicate that the company is landing in Gran Canaria to take advantage of the growth. of the archipelago as an international audiovisual hub.

 

A growth in step with that of the company, which in addition to being responsible for the blockbuster that Barbie achieved a few months ago, has also recently managed to sign Tom Cruise as the visible face of the studios for their next projects.
