The Department of Agriculture of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, directed by Councilor Araceli Armas Cruz, participates this year for the first time on an institutional basis in the Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair. The exhibition and recreational event of the island's agri-food sector is being held from this Friday to Sunday in Infecar, in the capital of the Island, now in its eleventh edition.
The City Council chaired by Marco Aurelio Pérez goes with its own stand to the fairgrounds of the capital of Gran Canaria to publicize the rich and varied agri-food production offered by farmers and ranchers in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
At that stand, the Department of Agriculture led by the eighth deputy mayor Araceli Armas Cruz will promote the diversity of wines, cheeses, coffee, honey, olives, blueberries and apricots, among others, that are produced and made in this municipality.
“The local cheese factories La Gloria and Amurga have even decided to actively participate in this fair and be part of the institutional stand showing and selling their artisanal cheeses directly to the public,” says Araceli Armas, who invites the residents of the municipality to visit and enjoy the event. .
The Gran Canaria Me Gusta Fair is open to the general public this Friday and Saturday from nine thirty in the morning to seven thirty in the afternoon, and on Sunday from nine thirty in the morning until four in the afternoon.
