The Department of Human Resources launches a plan to fill vacancies and reorganize the base of the operational structure of the administration, with 25 assistants and 24 administrative staff subject to opposition

The Department of Human Resources of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, directed by the second deputy mayor, Elena Álamo Vega, will implement an operational plan for the reorganization and administrative promotion of the workforce and civil servants of this public administration, which will affect almost fifty workers.

This plan, which will be submitted for initial approval in the plenary session that the Corporation is holding this Thursday, April 25, is part of the municipal personnel management strategy that the Department of Human Resources has been developing since the beginning of this legislature to implement order the administrative structure of the City Council and correct the problems of the high rate of temporary employment, aging and vacancies in the workforce, exacerbated by the regulatory restrictions of the budget laws that have been imposed in Spain in recent years.

In this case, the positions of permanent staff affected by the operational plan will be 25, and those of civil servants another 24. The objectives are to promote the former, corresponding to the former jobs of the Municipal Nursery Schools, into administrative assistants, tasks that they have already been carrying out since October 2013 with a previous theoretical-practical training course. And, on the other hand, promote the 24 consolidated positions of administrative assistants, to fill vacancies and strengthen the organizational and operational structure of the City Council.

The plan, which will be formalized through an opposition procedure, has the ultimate goal of optimizing the functioning of the administration and gaining efficiency in the provision of services. To be carried out, it has required prior negotiation with the workers' union representatives and an economic budget report on the cost reduction and quantification of expenses that its implementation will entail.
